BOOK REVIEW: The Screenwriter's Bible by Trottier

When I first had an interest in screenwriting, I wanted to learn as much as I could. Someone referred this book to me and so it was the first book I purchased. “The Screenwriter’s Bible” is an essential tool. It is a must have for those who want to get involved in screenwriting.

A screenplay is a template for your story used to not just tell the story, but indicate which characters are talking, where they are, day or night for lighting purposes etc.

This book explains how to format. It’s the kind of book you will use regularly. If you have two people talking on the phone and you’re not sure how to format that, well “The Screenwriter’s Bible” has the answers. It will quickly become your instruction manual of sorts.
