Preacher RECAP: 'El Valero'

(Season 1, Episode 8)

This was a bizarre episode. And I don’t mean in the usual bizarre sense. There were elements that didn’t work for me.

Odin loses his family

The episode begins with a flashback showing Odin’s family. They die in a freak accident on a skiing trip when the ski lift breaks.

Odin is surrounded by their bodies in boxes…

…Jesse’s father visits Odin in an effort to comfort him (a young Jesse listens from the hallway). But Odin has lost his mind, ripping out the intestine of a cow and comparing it to his family’s. They look the same, what’s the difference.

“You need to denounce him (God).” - Odin

Church invasion

This is not going well for Odin’s crew. Jesse knows how to fire a gun and he’s perched on top of the church, firing at them. He hasn’t killed anyone. He’s precise, maybe too precise, shooting off a man’s weener. WTH was that about!!

Also, he may have used his voice to get some of their weapons, though I’m not certain. But during the night, the men storm in and then we see them outside with a stack of guns on a pew.



Eugene is kind of back

Yeah! He’s back! But man is he thristy, drinking glasses of water. But as Jesse speaks to him, Eugene mentions the agents. How does he know about them? He doesn’t. That’s not Eugene.

Damn!

So it seems Jesse is seeing things.



The angel agents

Jesse will only allow THEM to enter the church. They do but don’t see Eugene, who is in Jesse’s head.

Jesse wants to give up the voice but in return he wants them to help him rescue Eugene from Hell. Fiore says that there is a way to get Eugene back.

They sing the song and Genesis leaves the body, now resting in its coffee can. But what about Eugene? They have no intention of helping Jesse, who gets angry. Someone knows how to get Eugene out of Hell but who, Fiore doesn’t seem interested in telling Jesse.

And then…

Genesis escapes and enters Jesse again. But the can is destroyed. What now? Nothing. The angels are done. They’re not trying again and leave Jesse.



Donnie

He sticks his head in the trunk of his car and fires his gun. Woah! What was that about?!

Later… Donnie enters the church. Jesse uses his voice but it doesn’t work.

Donnie’s ears bleed. He can’t hear a thing Jesse is telling him. Guess he’s not so dumb after all. That whole trunk/gun scene was designed to deafen himself.

He knocks Jesse out.



Jesse makes a deal

It’s time to sign the paperwork so that Odin can take over the church and tear it down once and for all.

How did Odin win out? He said he would serve God, what happened? It seems that Odin’s definition of God is different from Jesse. To him God is meat and he serves the meat very well. He would never serve Jesse’s God, because that God is silent.

Odin is as weird as they come.

But Jesse has a plan.

“I’m gonna bring God to the town.” - Jesse

He will force God to answer questions. If the townsfolk are unhappy with the answers then he will denounce God, something Odin wanted Jesse's father to do when his family died on their skiing trip.



WTH Tulip?!

She goes to the dog pound and buys a stray. He’s so cute. And she seems emotionally attached to it, but winds up giving it to Cassidy in what looks like a feed. NO!

I hated this part. Maybe the dog was dying… as I try to cope with this scene.



Who is this?

Does he work in Odin’s power company?

Is he responsible for the sinkholes?

Preacher RECAP: “He Gone”

 

(Season 1, Episode 7)

Jesse’s promise

Child Jesse had a difficult relationship with his preacher father.

While in school, he and Tulip became friends, getting themselves into trouble. His father took Tulip in for a bit because her mother was in jail and her uncle was a drunk.

The friendship grew and remains until now. But his father sent Tulip away, which sent little Jesse into a rage that caused him to wish harm to his father.

“Kill him and send him straight to Hell.” - Child Jesse

Sending peeps to Hell. Hmm… like child, like adult.

And then real life swooped in and granted him his wish (the kill part, anyway). He and his father were dragged out in the middle of the night by some bad guys, giving us this final heart breaking exchange…

“Jesse, much bigger things are coming for you. Much bigger things than this here. So you gotta be one of the good guys. Cause why…” - Jesse’s father

“…Cause there’s way too many of the bad.” - Child Jesse

“You promise me?” - Jesse’s father

“I promise, Daddy.” - Child Jesse

“You stop that. We custers don’t cry. We fight.” - Jesse’s father

“I did this, Daddy. I prayed for this. It’s all my fault.” - Child Jesse

He watched his father die.

I have a feeling we haven’t seen the last of this tattoo.



Eugene’s fate?


The witness

Last episode left us with Eugene being sent to Hell. We learn that someone was there. Someone saw the whole thing.

The confrontation

Cassidy tells Jesse that he saw what happened to Eugene, which garnered an…

“Oh.” - Jesse

C’mon, Jesse! You can do better than that!

But the two men aren’t alone. Emily is standing right there. Oops. Looks like she knows something.


The cover-up

Jesse, Cassidy, Tulip and Emily are in the kitchen eating when the the Sheriff enters looking for his son.

Jesse lies, saying he hasn’t seen Eugene.

Emily knows it’s a lie since she was the one who let Eugene in to talk to Jesse. She mentions this fact, then quickly offers a lie of her own, saying that Eugene left.


Jesse searches for Eugene

Jesse digs up the church floor.

“Come back!” - Jesse

I look around, don’t see Eugene… Yell louder, Jesse!


Eugene’s crime

Jesse tells an angry Cassidy that Eugene deserves to be in Hell.

Why? He loved Tracy. But she didn’t love him. So he shot the back of her head off and shot himself.

Yeah, I figured as much, though I wondered if there was something more to the story.

Speaking of our favorite vampire…



Cassidy’s fate?

Cassidy can’t except Jesse’s lack of empathy for Eugene’s life or soul. And Jesse explaining the whole Tracy thing doesn’t work for Cassidy.

Genesis has changed Jesse but Jesse just won’t give it up.

Has Jesse sunk so deep in his lack of tolerance that he would turn on his own friend? Cassidy tests this question, tossing Jesse a fire extinguisher.

Jesse returns to the kitchen without Cassidy and asks Emily and Tulip if they know about Cassidy. Tulip is angry. She knows something bad happened to Cassidy and storms out.

Did Jesse save Cassidy, let him burn or send him to Hell?

Why is Tulip still there?

An angry Jesse asks Tulip this very question and she claims to not know. Sure, she’s in love with Jesse. But there’s something else.

Family is a tough thing to leave behind.



Odin

Analyzing Odin’s behavior is interesting. It gives us an insight into how this “voice” works. He meets with Jesse and hands him a contract.

Seems whatever power Genesis had is now gone. The contract is a deed transfer because Odin is no Christian.

Jesse has no intention of giving up his father’s land and church.

But Odin is not going to go quietly into the night.

He rolls up to the church with a bulldozer and a pack of men loaded with rifles.

Gotta say, when I first saw them, I thought they were Confederate soldiers returned from the dead because it follows Jesse digging for Eugene…

I hope he’s not ALSO looking for Cassidy down there.

Preacher RECAP: “Sundowner”

(Season 1, Episode 6)

What is the entity?

Continuing where the show left off last week, Jesse sits in a diner with DeBlanc and Fiore. The two men were reluctant to tell Jesse about the entity, but the power works even on them and so they are forced to spill the beans.

This entity is the offspring of an angel and a demon…

“It’s called Genesis… It began with heaven & hell. Two armies fighting, two sides hating for as long as we can remember.” - DeBlanc

“Heaven & hell?” - Jesse

“That’s right.  The endless war. One day, thought to be impossible, but somehow  a soldier from one side and one from the other became drawn to each other.” - DeBlanc

“An angel and a demon fell in love.” - Jesse

“Traitors.” - Fiore

“Strictly forbidden. They didn’t care. Snuck off, made a secret. They conjoined.” - DeBlanc

“Disgusting. Traitors.” - Fiore

“Then after a time, Genesis a thing that was never meant to be, you know…” - DeBlanc

“…Came to be.” - Fiore

“So you’re saying that this Genesis is some sort of angel demon baby?” - Jesse

“If by baby you mean the most powerful entity ever known The singular force that could shift the balance of power, threaten all of creation, then yeah, it’s a baby.” - DeBlanc

DeBlanc and Fiore are wanted Angels

Outside the diner, DeBlanc and Fiore tussle with a woman when Jesse rushes over to her aid.

Looks like she doesn’t need his help.

Fiore shoots her in the head, but that’s okay because there’s plenty more where she came from. She reinvigorates in the diner and comes after them. However, they get away, fleeing in Jesse’s truck; but not before grabbing the phone she had stashed in her car.

The two angels explain that the woman is a Seraphim of the First Order.

The three men arrive at…


The Sundowner Motel

Even Heaven has a wanted list. Look at those mug shots :)

Fiore and DeBlanc were in charge of Genesis and failed. They implore that Jesse not use his power on the Seraphim because they want to keep the existence of Genesis on the down low.

And here we have one of the funniest fight scenes I’ve ever witnessed.

The three angels kill each other, only to reinvigorate so they can kill each other again and so on. Jesse helps DeBlanc and Fiore finally hold her down. If they can just tie her up and keep her alive, they can control this thing.

It almost worked until…

Cassidy came in, saw the chaos, saw Jesse struggle to hold the woman and he shot her dead…

Oh No, here we go again.



Can anyone use the “phone”?

 

Can Jesse use it to call Heaven? No, only angel hands can use the phone.

Hmm… Jesse is kinda sorta part angel, maybe he should give it a shot. Though, I’m not sure what he would say.



Will Jesse give “the baby” back?

“I’m keeping it.” - Jesse

That answers that question.

DeBlanc and Fiore (aka the custodians) plea with him. They’ll give him whatever he wants in exchange for Genesis.

But Jesse believes that he was chosen to house the entity, much to the chagrin of Fiore who sees him as just a human, sinful like all the others. No way God would chose him or any other human for such a task.

But Jesse is insistent.

“If I’m wrong and God wants Genesis back, he can come take it.”

DeBlanc is worried…

“…Consequences Preacher, unwelcomed and unforeseen consequences… this is just the beginning.” - DeBlanc

Hmm… we’ve probably seen a couple of these consequences. Just ask the Green Acres guys. Speaking of which…



What about those dead Green Acres peeps that were killed Tony Montana style?

The Mayor has been dodging calls from Green Acres all day. He’s conflicted about what to do. Looking for answers he talks to Jesse.

The Mayor wants to know how one can tell the difference between God’s voice and that of a voice from somewhere else.

This mirrors Jesse’s situation, except Jesse is tone deaf.

The Mayor ends up covering up the murders. The police find the Green Acres group burnt to a crisp in their car.



How does Jesse plan on increasing church attendance?

Emily isn’t too keen on Jesse’s recruiting style. She brings up Jesse bribing Odin with the church land. Certainly, Jesse can’t bribe the whole town.

Jesse knows this. He has his own answer. He tests out the Church’s speaker system.

Oh my.



Love triangle 1: Tulip, Jesse and Emily

A jealous Tulip wants Emily to stay away from her man, Jesse. During a tantrum she throws and breaks an ashtray across the room. But it was made by Emily’s child.

Feeling guilty, Tulip glues it together and the women bond.

It ends with Tulip helping Emily by doing church errands.



Love triangle 2: Tulip, Jesse and Cassidy

On an errand run, Tulip shows up at the church where she bumps into Cassidy while in the closet.

Cassidy is one love sick vampire, thinking Tulip tracked him down to the church. But then it hits him, Tulip is Jesse’s Tulip.

Poor Vamp.

Here’s an idea: Maybe Emily and Cassidy should get together.



Eugene’s fate

Eugene wants jesse to take “it” back—that special thing that made Mrs. Loach forgive him.

“I don’t want to be forgiven…. It’s cheating” - Eugene.

I have to say, I agree with Eugene here. Who is the grown-up in the room?

These two argue back and forth. Eugene wants to know Jesse’s end game with this power.

“What are you going to do?” - Eugene

“I’m going to save the damn town!” - Jesse

Jesse feels if he can fulfill his promise then he can be free of it. Jesse is a man on a mission.

Eugene says it’s a sin, forcing people to do what you want. It’s not right!

“Go to hell, Eugene!” - Jesse

Eugene disappears.

Damn! Jesse sent Eugene to hell. WTF, Jesse!

He better get Eugene back!

Preacher RECAP: “South Will Rise Again”

(Season 1, Episode 5)

Mystery Cowboy

He and his horse ride into this cesspool of a town called…

While he’s waiting for his medicine to be made, he hangs out at the saloon… Bad move.

Now this is some F’d up place.  Some dude walks in with a bag of scalps he’s trying to sell. And the bartender acts like it’s business as usually, as he gives them a once over; but the scalps are not to his liking.

Meanwhile, in the back room, this family the Mystery Cowboy saw in the medicine store is having some sick stuff happening to them. The father looks dead. I think the mother is being raped while they have the child watching. 

It’s all so shocking, but then again this is the town that has a tree with dead body’s as hanging ornaments.

He gets his medicine and leaves, only to come upon, who I think is, the family he ate with during the previous episode we saw him in. Ratwater isn’t exactly a family place. So he returns to help this family, but ends up getting beaten up.

He stumbles out of the saloon with a preacher on his tail. This isn’t your ordinary preacher either. He’s telling dirty jokes in the saloon. And to top it off, he recognizes the Mystery Cowboy.

“Gettysburg. Third day—Pickett’s Charge. You were with the 4th Virginian. I was with the 8th Ohio. I never seen a man more in love with killing than you. We lost a lot of good men that day. Lost a lot of horses too.” - Ratwater Preacher

Oh no, not the horse. Damnit! He shoots the horse dead.

Now our Mystery Cowboy has to foot it, medicine in hand. He finally reaches his destination to find his family dead.

Angry, he opens a closet… picks up his rifle.

Ah shite… stuff’s about to go down!

Speaking of rifles…


Eugene

Maybe Eugene should stay away from Tracy. She’s a vegetable and his face resembles a butthole. Nuff said.

The Sheriff (his father) is filled with anguish. This whole ordeal has really gotten to him. So he snaps at Eugene.

“If you really want to help, maybe you should do what they said and finish the god damn job.” - Sheriff

Abuse of power

Jesse has been on over drive. He’s using the diner as his private office, talking to everyone he meets. Eugene tells him of what is going on with his father and so Jesse decides to make it better.

The two drive over to Tracy’s house where her mother bashes Eugene’s truck with a bat. Emotions run high until Jesse steps in and does his thing.

He tells the mother to forgive Eugene.

This was bizarre. I don’t know what went down with Tracy and Eugene but it looks bad, bad enough to make me feel that the mother may need to hold onto her feelings a bit longer. Either way, forcing someone to forgive someone else feels wrong.

Donnie

While in Odin’s office, Donnie witnesses a different Odin—a man who is pleasant and tells the Mayor that he wants to meet the Green Acres group—the same group he’s been hating on.

Things just don’t seem right.

Donnie tells his wife about his bathroom experience with Jesse… then about the bus driver… and Odin. He knows Jesse has a power and is making people do things against their will.


Odin

From last episode:

“Serve God” - Jesse via the voice

“I ask you again, will you serve God?” - Jesse

“Of course I will… Yes, sir…” - Odin

So a kindler, gentler Odin meets with the Mayor and the Green Acres group. Things are pleasant enough UNTIL Odin goes all Tony Montana and kills them.

“Yep. We grow or we die, Miles. We grow or we die. .. {kills the last one, who enters the room} Yep.” - Odin

How does this power work? Is there a negative/evil twist to it?

Remember the man who went to see his mother? He ended up killing himself right in front of her.

Odin goes homicidal. Did he perceive the Green Acres group as evil and his idea of serving God was to kill them?

How will any of this affect Tracy’s mother or the bus driver… or the town?

We could have one insane level of chaos about to happen.

If this power is up to no good, I can see why it chose a preacher because it can then corrupt those who pray to God. After all we did learn that the power is not God…


Heavenly duo

The last we saw of them, they were staring at a ringing phone.

And now, here they are…

…talking about the ringing phone. Apparently, Heaven loves Fiore. So it has to be him that answers the phone. But before he can answer, he has to practice what he is going to say and what better place to practice then on the toilet.

“The Hello is crucial, remember. Sets the tone.” - DeBlanc

Fiore better get that “Hello” just right.

Time passes and they’re ready to answer when it stops ringing.

Hmm… I wonder if anyone will come looking for them.


Two angels, a possessed preacher and a coffee can walk into a diner

The duo are not too happy with our preacher. They had given money to Cassidy as they waited for the preacher to give himself up, but he never did. So they came looking for him.

“It lives in there.” - fiore

“Guys, I’ve seen a lot of weird stuff in my life.  I mean more than my fair share. But I’ve never, not one time heard of God fittin’ himself into a can of old timer” - Jesse

“What’s inside of you, it isn’t God.” - deblanc

Oh Snap!

That has Jesse looking mighty perturbed, but now it’s starting to make sense. Well… a little bit more anyhow as we still don’t know what’s inside him. We just know what it ain’t.


Tulip and Cassidy

With Jesse seeming to be more interested in the townsfolk and that one female that seems to be making the rounds, Tulip rebounds with Cassidy.

She steals drugs for Cassidy, then hooks up with him in the back of a car.

Preacher RECAP: “Monster Swamp”, Wynken, Blynken, and Nod

(Season 1, Episode 4)
**Spoilers**

Chainsaw, coffee can and the phone

Earlier, in a comedic take, Cassidy made an effort to tell Jesse about these “clones” from Heaven. However, due to a combination of Cassidy’s babbling uncertainty and Jesse not taking Cassidy seriously, the information fell on deaf ears and so Cassidy was left to meet these “clones” without a plan.

The two men (Fiore and DeBlanc) are eagerly expecting Cassidy to bring Jesse with him to the hotel, but he comes empty handed under the guise of needing to gather information for Jesse.

Cassidy asks them how they intend to remove the power from Jesse. That’s easy, just cut Jesse open with a chainsaw…

Is there a plan B?

Well, there is this song they could sing. It didn’t work before, but it could work again…

To Cassidy, that song idea sounds way better than the chainsaw and I have to agree with him on that.

They will then put the power into the can, which is its domicile, and then they could take the can home with them.

What is this song?

“Wynken, Blynken, and Nod. His favorite.” - DeBlanc

I did a little research. It’s a poem about 3 boys who use a wooden shoe as a boat to go fishing. But it’s really symbolism—a bedtime story where the wynken and blynken are a child’s tired eyes and the nod is the bobbing head of a sleepy child. The wooden shoe is the bed.

Here’s the last part of the poem:

“Wynken and Blynken are two little eyes,
And Nod is a little head,
And the wooden shoe that sailed the skies
Is a wee one's trundle-bed.
So shut your eyes while mother sings
Of wonderful sights that be,
And you shall see the beautiful things
As you rock in the misty sea,
Where the old shoe rocked the fishermen three:
Wynken, Blynken, and Nod” - Eugene Field

What I find interesting about this poem is when it was written—1889. Remember that mystery man from the “See” episode? Well it happened in 1881. I think there might be a connection.

Cassidy leaves the room and Fiore wants to make a call.

Let’s take a closer look at the writing on the Heavenly cell phone.

Uh, I got nothing.

DeBlanc reminds Fiore that he can’t call them.

“And if they find out, we’re down here without permission? Why we’re down here without permission… We can’t call them. We’re on our own.” - DeBlanc

Sounds like it was their mistake that got the power released in the first place. I’m guessing they don’t want to have to explain that to their boss.

A dejected Fiore slumps on the bed in agreement.

Fast forward to the final scene

Fiore and DeBlanc sit and wait when the phone rings. Fiore picks up the hotel phone, but it’s not that phone, it’s the OTHER phone. (ominous drum roll, please)

Sinkholes

Or as Tulip calls it…

“Shit pit” - Tulip

She does have a way with words.

The episode opens with a scene that looks like it’s ripped from a horror movie. Lacey, in her panties (of course), runs through the streets…

Is that the school bus driving around? (It’s additions like this that make the filming really pop with uniqueness).

Lacey now runs into the woods, being chased by an unknown assailant. She comes upon 2 women hiding in a drainage; they don’t want her to give them away. So she flees, meets up with another chick, who gets shot and drops to the ground.

It looks like she’s safe… but wait, there’s Clive with a gun. He shoots… oh no!… It’s just a paint gun… Phew! They’re playing a game… ok, cool… coast is clear for this woman we’ve been tracking until… a sinkhole opens up and swallows her up… wut?!

Talking about taking us on a ride here.

The following morning, Lacey is pulled out of the hole, dead and covered in poop… ew.

Odin makes a lame speech about how they shouldn’t be running around out night. Everyone seems okay with the speech except for Tulip, who can’t understand people’s apathetic behavior.

Later, the Mayor visits Odin and asks him what causes the sinkholes.

“Plain as pie.” - Odin

“Right.” - Mayor

Not sure what that means, but I do get the sense that Odin knows and may even be responsible for them.

To the chagrin of Odin, the Mayor has been secretly meeting with the Green acres group, who are working on soil sustainability and aeroponics. Sounds like this could end up connecting with the sinkholes.

Jesse and Odin

Jesse is on a mission to increase church membership and expand the word of God. I wonder if having this thing inside him is pushing him this way.

He comes up with a plan to raffle a television set, but he also wants to motivate the townsfolk to continue to come back. So he makes a deal with Odin, who is probably the least likely to want saving. Odin will go to church, if he isn’t spiritually convinced then he gets what he so dearly wants—Jesse’s land that was handed to him by his father.

Fast forward to Church…

Odin is not convinced until…

“Serve God” - Jesse via the voice

“I ask you again, will you serve God?” - Jesse

“Of course I will… Yes, sir…” - Odin

I wonder where this story line will go.

Preacher RECAP: “The Possibilities” Of Three Men And A Can Of Coffee

(Season 1, Episode 3)

**Spoilers**

The sun is still up and Cassidy is hiding out in the shadows of the church when he’s told to make a delivery. What’s a vampire to do…

Every scene with him is pure gold.

The Preacher

Last we saw, he told a comatose girl to open her eyes and now it seems she can’t close them. He better come back or else she’ll get some serious dry eyes.

But he now knows what he can do. And his abilities are so strong that the school bus driver still has no idea who the “girl” is.

The Preacher tells Cassidy of his new powers in what was a hilarious scene as he ordered Cassidy to hop, box, and tell his deep secret of loving Justin Beiber.

Afterward, Cassidy asked him what it felt like to have this power inside him.

“There’s a big blender inside my gut. And inside that blender is everything…. love, hate… fire, ice… polonium, ice cream, tarantulas, everything— All of God’s creation, inside of me.” - The Preacher

You can just see the twinkle in Cassidy's eyes... that power... oooh, THE POSSIBILITIES

Nothing like a church meeting

Remember those two guys who were chopped up, stuffed in a case, buried… and returned fresh and new at the end of the last episode…

They’re ready for round 2 but this time they’re prepared!

Lock and loaded they return to the church when Cassidy comes out of nowhere and runs them over, killing them AGAIN. Poor Cassidy, another team of hunters after him… oh wait, that’s NOT another team, those are the same guys as last night… must be clones!

Either way, he has to take care of these bodies. He goes back to the church when he hears a noise. It’s those 2 guys again, regenerated with clean new bodies.

They tell Cassidy that they are not after him… they’re after The Preacher. Heck, they don’t even know what a vampire vigilante killer means.

They’re from Heaven and need to put “IT” back into the Old Timer’s Coffee Can. They want to keep it locked up. It’s not to ever be used. And then there’s some death or end of the world stuff that could go on… there wasn’t a whole lot of detail here. But bad stuff is going to happen if they fail.

Hey guys, maybe this spirit doesn’t like coffee. Try tea instead and maybe it won’t try and escape next time.

Cassidy agrees to be a middleman in an effort to help get “it” back into the Old Timer’s Coffe Can.

Hmmm… but I wonder, that’s a whole lot of power and I could totally see Cassidy coming up with better ways to use it than to have it sit in a tin can. Maybe he’s working on something else.

So why Old Timer’s Coffee Can? 

Maybe that particular can was blessed.

Maybe it has something to do with the man from 1881.

Odin Quincannon

He owns “Quincannon Meat and Power”. He’s a man of few words who loves the sounds of cows mooing or… were they being slaughtered? It was difficult to make out the sounds. But either way, he’s a weird dude who fits well in this world.

It seems that Donnie, who got his arm broken by Jesse last episode, works for Odin… He’s Odin’s right hand man and is eager to impress, wanting to take care of some business for his boss.

But Donnie can’t even pick up Odin’s lunch tray.

“A right hand man with no right hand” - Odin

Poor, Donnie.

Danni

A new character who wants Tulip to kill her husband. Guess she’s tired of being married…. Ever heard of a divorce.

The two women exchange info on a park bench. Tulip gives Danni a map of Grail Industries, who in turn hands Tulip information on Carlos’ location.

A couple of flashbacks offers us some insight into Tulip & Jesse’s past. They worked with Carlos, who (it appears) abandoned them in a getaway car, with the goods, just when the police showed up.

Later on… In dramatic fashion, Danni walks into a movie theatre that resembles more of a back alley room with what sounded like a snuff film. She sits behind a Mystery Man, hidden in the shadows, and secretly hands him the map of Grail Industries.

Can’t wait to see what that's all about…

Road trip to “Carlito’s Way”

Jesse must be mad as Hell to agree to leave town and go with Tulip to find Carlos. Tulip is happy, she has her partner-in-crime back UNTIL he stops off to go to the bathroom…

Crazy things happen in the men’s restroom…

Jesse is doing his thing when Donnie enters, sling and all. But he didn’t come alone. He had a gun with him. He’s full of anger and embarrassment. But he plans of getting his revenge. He holds a gun to Jesse head in an attempt to force Jesse to “squeal”.

But Jesse has a better idea. That powerful voice comes alive and forced the man to shove his gun in his own mouth. About to tell him to pull the trigger, Jesse lets the man run off instead.

However, Jesse comes to the realization that he needs to stay in town. There are things he needs to do there.

Carlos will have to wait… so will Tulip.

I love the tension in this scene where Tulip is pulled over for speeding. She has a gun in her glove compartment. She takes it out and tucks it under her thigh and places a ring on her finger.

The cop asks her to step out of the vehicle.

What is going to happen? Will she have to use the gun?

But he spots her ring. It has a military insignia on it and… phew… all is well.
